Selena Gomez- Come and Get it!!!!!

Shes ditched the Disney shine with a starring role in Spring Breakers and has been in our celebrity gossip magazines for numerous reasons, her fashion and her on-off relationship with teen crush Justin Bieber. But Selena is now injecting I'm-a-woman-now attitude into her fashion, lifestyle and her music. She's finally ditching the Disney princess HURRAH!!!! 

Come and Get it, the intro is Bhangra music inspired which merges into a dirty basline. It's defiantly clear to see the Gomeze has ditched the pop sheen, she's famously known for. Come and Get is seductive "if you're ready come and get it" she sings in a raspy breathless tone which compliments the grinding beats . This song was originally for the Bajan beauty Rihanna , But Selena works it enough to make sure her cute, girl next door image is OVER!!!!

Demi Lovato, Heart Attack

America's sweetheart Demi Lovato has been a busy girl of late, what with her judging the American  X-Factor and a brand new album. This former Disney darling has proven she can hold her own in the music industry without having to resort to delinquent antics *coughMileyCyrus*. This singing diva has dropped her self-titled album 'Demi' and judging from her debut album "Heart Attack", Miss Lovato continues to verify her pop diva status. 

A lot of pop-divas with big voice, tend to tone their vocals in order to fit into the mould of the mediocre vocals in the pop scene, but our Demi caters this magnificent song to her big, bold vocals. She shows off her vocal ability and it's some of the strongest vocals, especially on Heart Attack. Heart Attack is such a catchy tune and a real feel good song. I'm predicting great things for Miss Lovato. 

Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran; "Everything Has Changed"

I was a bit skeptical when I heard about this pairing (Harry Styles Ex girlfriend and close pal) and the blossoming friendship between the pair. Even so I  adore this lovely spare ballad, it doesn't seem like they are trying to break into the others genre of music. The video is adorable and so is the song.....

Best Video Ever!!!!!

Finally the 1D lads have released their video to "Best Song Ever" and it's simply incredible and pure genius. I'm in love it with, fair to say I have been fan girling over the video!!
It's different to their other videos, but still has the fun element. Put a smile on my face.
I love how aggressive Harry gets at the beginning (starting to develop a crush on H).
Still don't like the name of the song, but the video makes up for it.
Directed by  Ben Winston and written by James Corden and Ben again!!! As we all know Harry and James are good friends, so this is probably how James has got involved and also he's known as a funny guy and a great writer. The video is based around a movie meeting, obviously with the 'This Is Us' movie being released in a few weeks.

"We Can't Stop" and Miley Cyrus certainly won't!!!!

Well this golden Disney princess and turned into a raunchy rebellious princess, I don't quite think Disney would approve. But it's not surprising to see a child star go a bit edgy
gone are the days of Hannah Montana, we now see a grown up gorgeous Miley Cyrus, who's not leaving a lot to the imagination, the grills are on, skin is inked and her hair is slicked back.

To me "We Can't Stop" is completely harmless. It doesn't sound brilliant (but i'm still a fan of  "7 Things".) But I would't say Miley how gone of the rails , she's just growing up, well she's no longer a child right?? All of the attention from the press make it difficult for any child star to be who we want them to be. Miley is showing us, who she really is in this video! She's a young woman NOT a child!!!!!
Is it really surprising that her music has gone down this root?? Back in 2009 Lil Wayne's song "Every Girl" (featuring Mack Maine) remarked "In about 3 years, holla at me Miley Cyrus." Three years later at the age of 18 Miley Holla'd  and exchanged flirty tweets to each other. So "We Can't Stop" being racy really doesn't surprise, if I was a hardcore fan of Miley Cyrus it's something I would of expected.
Miley has been hanging out with rappers lately, such as 50 Cent, Lil Kim to Wiz Khalifa . So it's no shock she's going down the 'hip hop' route.

Paper Doll, John Mayer

I know this song came out back in June, but I've only recently 'discovered' it and completely fell in love!!! "Paper doll" is such a beautiful song but the links to Taylor Swift takes away the beauty from this song.
A lot of critics have said that this single is aimed at John's public relationship with Ms Taylor Swift. Is someone getting their own back after she released a single called 'Dear John'? We all know she's famous for writing about her ex relationships, it was about time someone gave her a taste of her own medicine.  
There are definitely hints of the pop princess in the song; The chorus of the song starts 
"You're like 22 girls in one/ And none of them know what they're running from." Is this a reference to Taylor's popular hit "22" (Which I L-O-V-E). T-Swifty sang " You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain," in her song "Dear John". In which John replies with "Someone's gonna paint you another sky." Seems pretty obvious to me!!!
But if that's not enough John gives us more, he mentions ponytails, high heels, red scarves and dresses which match Taylor's fashion sense just perfect. Interesting.........

Another issue I have with the song, is the lyric video in which Joanna Rohrback (who i'm not familiar with) is doing 'Prancerise' this song is to beautiful for a old women to be prancing around in. This song should have a love scenario video to accompany it, not bloody Joanna Rohrback!!! 
This call leads me to question the direction in which John Mayer intends to continue his musical career. 

"Paper Doll" is a gorgeous and simple song. I'm in love with it and i'm constantly playing it , but my judgement lies not with the song but the future of John Mayer, who always seems to surprise me. 
I'm eagerly waiting Paradise Valley.

John Mayers Paper Doll

Best song ever.......... is it??

So today One Directions Best Song Ever, got it's first radio play on BBC Radio 1 Scott Mills show. As we all know this band has taken over the world, whether you like them or not their success is incredible.
So as a bit of a music junkie, I switched on to BBC Radio 1, to hear the first play. I tend to listen to Radio 1 anyway but it's usually for Grimmy's show!! (guilty pleasure). 1D have defiantly taken their new song to the next level, it still has the pop elements, but slightly rockier, we have seen elements of the rockier side to 1D in their last album 'Take Me Home' with songs such as 'Rock Me' (one of my favourite songs). I like it and I've found myself singing 'and  we dance all night to the best song ever' throughout the day!!! defiantly catchy. The drums are heavy in this track compared to others!!! We have a lot of Niall's OWWW's in the background (The OWWW's are also featured on the single Heart Attack too.) It's just your typical Pop/Rock song!!!

I defiantly think 1D are channeling their inner rock gods, especially with Harry being compared to a young Mick Jagger!! I think this song is going to be a number 1 hit worldwide, whether you like them or not!!!  But i'm very excited to see 'Best Song Ever' performed live next year on the 'Where we are tour' , And can't wait to review the show!!! (I am a secret directioner)

Best bit- This part of the song 'And her daddy was a dentist. said I had a dirty mouth, But she kissed me like she meant it' I found this line amusing!!!

Bad bit- Admittedly the song title is a bit mehhhhhh!!!! Hopefully the video
makes up for the un-imaginative title!!

They are hot though!!!!
